Lakkidi Gateway- explore the haunted place

Lakkidi gateway in Wayanad district is considered one of the most haunted places in India. It has a mysterious story since the time of British rule in India. It is said that a British engineer discovered this shortest way to cross over Thamarassery Pass with the help of a local person. After completing his mission, British man killed that person so that he can get the credit of discovering the route. Presently, the soul of that person has been trapped in a tree by a priest but you can still witness the paranormal activities in Lakkidi Gateway.

Morris Bungalow- paranormal activities 

With the name, you can assume it’s certainly a luxurious mansion. During the British rule in India, it belonged to an Englishman, Morris who is said to have committed suicide after the heated arguments with his father. Since then, the bungalow is known for abnormal activities. It was even sold and completely converted into a luxurious resort but the presence of evil spirit is still marked here. Some people even claim to have seen the apparition of a young man in a pathetic state.

Sometimes, it’s a glorious history and sometimes, it’s a spooky horror story. Well, With Bonacaud bungalow, it’s a heart-wrenching creepy story. According to the local people, during the colonial era, a child was brutally murdered inside the bungalow by a couple. Today, the bungalow is locked but the poignant screams of a child are still heard here.

Generally, Trichur forest is famous for the camping and trekking but there is something that leaves the visitors open-mouthed. Make sure you don’t visit this forest after the dusk. According to some visitors, the spirit of a 7-year-old boy still wanders around the forest. He is often seen sitting alone in obscurity under a tree. However, the spirit is believed to cause no harm to anybody.

Sabarimala Temple- mysterious incident

The temple houses the statue of Lord Shee Ayyappa who had defeated an evil monster. According to people, that evil monster tries to enter in the temple every year on that same day and is defeated by the lord. People claim to see a high flash on the sky on that day every year.

Kariavattom- famous haunted place 

Located 14 km from Thiruvanantpuram, kariavattom campus road is believed to be haunted. According to the local people, they avoid going through this road after the nightfall. Just beside the campus, there is a pond. A girl is said to have committed suicide in this pond. In fact, the name of the pond is after her name. According to the people, here, an apparition of a double height of a normal person is seen roaming around sometimes.

 

करियावट्टोम

From the very first day, they heard the frightening voice of a crying child. The voice was getting louder and closer to them every day. Located near Kochi, Perandoor canal is a matter of petrifying horror among the local people. The local people refuse to go even in the proximity of this area and the reason is Vadhuthala Mathai whose spirit still wanders around the canal. In the ancient time, Vadhuthala Mathai was hanged over to the death after accused of abusing a young girl. He was hanged on the orders of the-then king. Today, the fear of this evil spirit in so terrible that the fishermen make the daily offerings to him before going to their work.

पेरांडूर नहर

कोच्चि के पास स्थित, पेरंदूर नहर स्थानीय लोगों के बीच डरावनी पीड़ा का विषय है। स्थानीय लोग इस क्षेत्र की निकटता में भी जाने से इनकार करते हैं और इसका कारण वधुथला मथाई है जिसकी आत्मा अभी भी नहर के आसपास भटकती है। प्राचीन समय में, वधुथला मथाई को एक युवा लड़की के साथ दुर्व्यवहार करने के बाद मौत की सजा दी गई थी। तत्कालीन राजा के आदेश पर उन्हें फाँसी दे दी गई। आज इस बुरी आत्मा का डर इतना भयानक है कि मछुआरे अपने काम पर जाने से पहले उसे रोजाना प्रसाद देते हैं।
